If you're a Jedi, Starwars fan, Sword/Knife Collector, or someone interested in Radionics devices (Psychic energy amplifiers) you may be very interested in this device.

In essence it is a device much like the Lightsabre device that the jedi use in the starwars movies. Of course there is the exception that it exists in the real universe, and not the Lucas Films one (which has a tendency to defy most of our laws of physics). However, instead of using a laser or an electromagneticaly contained Plasma to create a blade of energy, a form of energy Called Chi is used for such a purpose.

According to TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine), Chi is a substance that flows through your body and gives you life. Many belive that Chi is also the source of all life (to learn more about this philosophy, you would need to do some research on Daoisim). Through the practice of Internal Arts, sometimes called internal gongfu (Taijiquan, Xingyiquan, and Baguazhang) many people in the past have been able to cultivate this energy and use it for extending their lives, healing others, and many countless other mystical purposes.
Although it normaly takes many years of cultivation and pratice to effectively use chi, there are some devices that can amplify it, and cut the learning/cultivation time significantly. One such device is a Quartz Crystal.

Quartz crystals have been for a quite a while been shown to amplify and store a person's mind-intent (thoughts). Due to this fact, although many people do not use them to their full potential, they do make very good meditational tools. In the case of the Chi Sabre, a Thought-Form (mentaly visualized and projected picture) shaped like a lightsabre blade is generated in the mind and projected into the crystal. This only has to be done once by the creator of the device. After the crytal has been mentaly programmed (through the projection of the thought-form into the crystal), any time that you transmit Chi (or electromagnetic radiation) towards the crystal, a thought form, of the blade will be projected from that crystal.

Unfortunately, it takes a long time to add enough energy into a crystal that would proove to be a usefull device, in the physical world. This is why there is a second amplifing crystal, along with a resonating chamber for the chi to be amplified from. Besides the resonating cavity being an echo chamber for the chi, it also acts itself as a chi storage device. The more you meditate with the sabre, the more chi you can add to the sabre crystals to be amplified. Thus, the chi blade is more dense and is able to interact with the solid matter more easily. In many was, the chi sabre acts very similar to a laser device. With the exception that instead of photionic energy being amplified, it is subtle life-foce energy that is being amplified to a very high energetic state.

The second crystal, the amplifier crystal boosts the over all chi levels in the resonating cavity. instead of being mentaly programmed with a blade, a chi ball is programmed into it. Normally, a chi ball would expand in all directions, except chi is reflected by materials such as copper. All the chi from the chi ball is forced to stay inside the resonating chamber, which will cause the crystal that emitts the blade to resonate at a much higher vibrational frequency.

how is it as a weapon? i've been looking for a lightsaber as a weapon... kind of a PDW, or an unofficial concealed sidearm

The Chi/Hybrid Saber is more of a tool then a weapon. It can't cut anything or is the blade visible. If u r lookin' for a weapon that can do some damage, check the Electrosaber out.

So it can't do anything? I don't care if it takes a few years to build I will do whatever it takes to build a lightsaber.

hawkarrow, we are guessing that after a few years, if u meditate with it, and practice with it(note meditating is not sitting down for 5 minutes, theres a lot more to it then that), then it is possible that a visible and powerful blade will gradually form but we are making a leap here because we cannot confirm our guess, at least at this time. As nataku said, if u are interested in a weapon that can do damage, you should check the electrosaber out.

Very well then for such a ruthless boy like you to step in into a topic which you have no knowledge of. Speak of only what you know, not grab the topic and twist and mangle with it. It is not what you have called it a vulgerously sexual body part. I have built one myself and I do know it works. It seems a useful tool for me and anyone whomever devoutly practices spiritual combat and empowerment. With enough energy concentrated, the blade is a very strong beam, also making it a weapon and a tool for life. If there is more to flame at about chi, take your mind away from this topic if this seems as a silly joke. You do not and never will know true nature, nor the true being you are within, no matter how ridiculous it may seem. Continue with your thoughtless life, you will die a fools death.

I'm not sure if anybody checks this forum anymore,
but I think I'll ask anyway.(besides, a lively question,
even a small one might help bring the forum back to life)

I'm VERY interested in a chi-saber, but it seems the plans
are no longer available. Could someone please tell me
where I could get the plans for one?
